An explanation of (the madness that is) Critical Race Theory.
Fundamental ideas of CRT [3:30]:

• Race is largely socially constructed.
• The reason we constructed race was to do racism, to justify slavery and colonialism. (This claim is true. It's what CRT does with this claim that gets a bit out of control.)
  [14:22] Frankfurt School of Critical Theory (1920 - 1970):
• Adapting Marxist Conflict Theory, that a socially stratified society has oppressor groups and oppressed groups, and the oppressed groups need to be awakened to the nature of their oppression, which the oppressors hide from them in various tricky ways - ideology and hegemony. The elite ideology is internalized and the poor suckers believe that life is better than it really is for them. The Critical Theorist's job is to awaken the "critical consciousness", agitating people to see their lives as bad even though they like them.
